The Arizer Extreme Q2 is now more effective at fully extracting dry herb than ever. The redesigned airflow provides smooth and free-flowing vapor via the whip attachment. While the feature is simple on paper, the Arizer XQ2 does it a bit better than your average vaporizer thanks to the fact that it offers more than your basic 3 status indicators which has seemingly become the norm for this type of feature.

As for the Arizer XQ2 itself, aside from the updated looks, Arizer has promised an easier to use interface and from the looks of the dedicated fan speed button, that just might be true. The remote control has also been redesigned and the vaporizer unit itself now features replaceable air filters. Arizer also introduced the new glass connoisseur bowl which looks to be a revamp of their old yet high quality Cyclone bowl. Things Unseen All in all, the vapor quality produced by the Arizer Extreme Q2 is a slightly denser and more potent than the Extreme Q. The fan speed settings also play a large factor in this so your mileage may vary. The Volcano still manages to outperform the Arizer XQ2 (albeit marginally this time around) although not to the extent that you would think that the XQ2 is only half the price of the Volcano Classic. The XQ2 also makes substantial gains in its heat-up times. It hits the target temperature within 2 minutes of starting up, but this could be less if you settle for a lower temperature. As for those that prefer vaping using the bag, you can expect the bag to fill up with vapour in 2-4 minutes. Manufacturing quality Arizer also added an LED strip at the base of the XQ2, which adds some aesthetic appeal but, more importantly, indicates the current state of the vaporiser. For instance, the LED strip pulses between yellow and orange during heat-up and blue while cooling down. Temperature FlexibilityVapor is dense and flavorful when you want it to be but that can also be changed depending on your preferred temperature and fan speed settings. Manufacturing Quality Arizer has never allowed a shred of doubt in the quality of its devices, and it has always managed to remain creative and impressive with its design approach. The XQ2 comes in a completely new redesign that resembles a UFO but is more aesthetically pleasing. The shell of the vaporiser is made from hard, top-quality plastic, which makes the device feel a lot lighter than it is compared to other legends like the Volcano. None of this is to say that the Arizer XQ2 is of poor quality however. Given it’s significantly lower price point that’s almost a third of the MSRP of the Volcano Hybrid, the XQ2 is surprisingly robust and well-made. The glass attachments that come with the kit such as the connoisseur bowl are top-notch. Our only gripes are with the balloon mouthpieces and covers which seem more of an afterthought when compared to design and implementation of the Hybrid’s system. The Arizer XQ2 also comes bundled with a redesigned remote control that lets you configure the settings as well as cycle the vaporizer on and off without having to reach for the device. The new interface on the remote is a decent upgrade over what now feels like an archaic design on the original Extreme Q’s remote.
